David Kelly

David Kelly, CEO

David Kelly, CEO with Growth Solutions Team (formally The Growth Coach of Greater Baltimore) is a proven resource and advisor to businesses. Offering Sales Training, Sales Coaching and Executive Coaching services, Kelly has worked with hundreds of businesses, sales professionals, and managers to improve results, strategic focus, and to establish well defined Corporate Visions that all stake holders can support.

Kelly began his career as a small business owner, along with his former business partner, with Insurance Marketing Concepts; an insurance agency and investment advisory firm. Kelly and his partner sold the firm after 4 years after growing to over 400 agents system wide while expanding the footprint to 26 States. He then spent the bulk of his career as the CEO of Liberty Mortgage where under his leadership Liberty expanded from a Regional Lender and Thrift to a National Lender recognized as one of the top producing mortgage lending firms in the Nation.

Kelly has served as Director and Division Sales Trainer for Jani-King, a privately held facilities management and maintenance firm. He is active in the community through involvement in local service organizations, and youth sports. He resides in the Baltimore area.

Barbara Larrabee, CMO

Barbara Larrabee began a sales career over 30 years ago and since then has co-founded and run a number of companies, served as a Marketing Executive Director for an international billion dollar manufacturer in the health and wellness field, started and ran both a training division in the IT Contracting and Consulting industry spun off and started her own recruiting firm in the same field. Her career started in the Financial Services Industry with Northwestern Mutual and worked residential real estate and her own marketing firm while in school at the Loyola University. Barbara has trained, coached and lead hundreds of professionals and business executives in her career.

Today, Barbara is the Chief Marketing Officer and Sales Catalyst for Growth Solutions Team (formally The Growth Coach of Greater Baltimore). Drawing on her vast sales and marketing experience, Barbara leads the charge for the Growth Solutions Team, and her clients as they work towards greater sales and profitability. She is the co-author of the book “The Perfect Network-OUT, Balancing, Creating & Living Wealth and Wellness”. She has a history of leadership in volunteer positions and boards including The Exchange Club of Highlandtown and most recently the Fundraising Chair and District Membership Committee in Rotary, Towsontowne Club. Barbara currently resides in Baltimore County, Maryland and is a proud Mom of her two teenage sons, William and Mitchell.

OUR TEAM

Philip Romm is a human resources professional with over 20 years of experiences. He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Rochester, a MA in American Studies from Columbia University, and a MS in Industrial Labor Relations. Phil is also a certified human resource professional, holding the designation of SHRM – CP from the Society of Human Resources Management. He brings high level strategic human resource solutions to any size organization.

Jonathan Chiodo

Jonathan Chiodo, MBA, is part of our Special Projects-Banking division of Growth Solutions Team and Interim CFO.

Jon’s extensive and successful banking career with M&T Bank as a commercial banker provides our clients with an excellent resource to navigate the commercial lending process, effectively.  His ability to act advise on corporate transactions,  structuring loans related to buy-outs, mergers/acquisitions, working capital needs, and owner occupied and investment real estate transactions is of great value to our clients.

Jon received his MBA from Loyola University in 2014, and his B.A. in Financial Economics from the University of Rochester in 2008. He also received certificates from the Simon School of Business in Accounting, Finance, and Business Law.  Jon currently is on the board of directors for the Cool Kids Campaign and is the co-chair of the Young Professionals Committee of the First Tee of Greater Baltimore. Jon lives in Middle River with his wife Amy and his son Bennett.

Paula Olhausen is the Director of Team Development for Growth Solutions Team. Improving trust, commitment and confidence between business owners and their employees is essential to delivering a quality customer experience, expanding operations and reaching company goals.

Paula brings over 30 years of leadership and sales training experience to our clients in helping them build their companies.

Formerly the owner of a C2 Education franchise, Paula has implemented extensive marketing campaigns and conducted effective academic conferences to grow that business. Most importantly, she created a customer experience that resulted in a unified commitment to each student’s educational success. That commitment yielded results for her students and gained them acceptance to numerous prestigious colleges and universities. Paula’s passion is to be of service to her clients and community, assisting others in achieving their greatest potential. She resides in Harford County and has a son and daughter who also live in the Baltimore metro area.

Stacey Karayinopulos entered the HR arena in 2016 and quickly learned the business of human resources consulting. Utilizing her previous office management experience and her knowledge of human resource principals, Stacey is able to assist business owners to tackle the challenges of their HR issues and get back to loving their team and focusing on your business. Stacey is former member of the Maryland Air National Guard and comes from a background of family
owned business.

Dean Merritt, Esq. brings 13 years of legal and technology experience selling to, supporting and training law firms and governments across the country.  He is adept at helping law firms improve processes and use technology to better manage and grow their practice.  He is also a licensed real estate broker and has experience with residential and commercial transactions, including work with restaurant and real estate development companies.

He is a graduate of Loyola Blakefield High School in Towson, MD, received a B.A.  in Psychology and Business from Villanova University.  Dean earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of Baltimore, where he received the Dean’s Citation for Service and was Executive Editor of the Intellectual Property Law Journal.
Dean clerked for the Honorable M. Brooke Murdock in the Baltimore City Circuit Court and worked with the Honorable Steven I. Platt on Maryland’s Business and Technology Case Management Program.  He has served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Bar Association of Baltimore City, and is member of the Maryland State Bar Association.  Dean enjoys spending his free time with his wife and three sons.

Vernon Brokke

Vernon has over 35 years of experience in Sales, Management and Entrepreneurship working heavily in the IT world with start-ups, emerging growth and large companies including StrataCom (Cisco), ROLM (IBM), and Redline Networks (Juniper) to list a few.

Additionally, Vernon has been partner or owner of several companies including Jackson Hewitt Tax franchise with 13 locations and over 300+ employees, City Publications franchise, VTR Services, Growth Coach franchise owner assisting business owners, CPA’s and sales personnel on strategic growth and tax saving practices.

Vernon has won numerous sales and management awards throughout the years. He resides in Catonsville, with his wife Gwen. They have (4) children and (6) grandchildren.

He is the treasurer of the CCBC Catonsville Foundation Board and has served on the Lamb of God School Board and Vocations Advisory Board of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
